Following the Deer

Following the Deer is a series of photographic tales collected by William Harper from trail cameras posted in the forests of the Skokie Lagoons. These cameras, fixed to trees, are triggered by motion and heat. They sometimes capture the mythological events that are rarely observed - though sometimes glimpsed in the peripheral vision at dusk. Sometimes William can make direct contact with the subjects and gain permission to shoot a legitimate portrait. More from this project.
