Following the Deer is a series of photographic tales collected by William Harper from trail cameras posted in the forests near his home. These cameras, fixed to trees, are triggered by motion and heat. They sometimes capture the mythological events that are rarely observed - though sometimes glimpsed in the peripheral vision at dusk. The photographer is sometimes able to make direct contact with some of the subjects of these photograph and gain permission to shoot a legitimate portrait.
